Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Security Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain security controls across our cloud (AWS) and on-premises infrastructure. You will identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and deploy scalable security solutions while collaborating with engineering, IT, and compliance teams. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a security-first mindset, and the ability to build secure-by-design architectures that support business agility without compromising protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud architecture ensuring security best practices and compliance.
  • Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans, remediating threats across cloud and on-prem systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and promote secure coding practices.
  • Monitor cloud environments for anomalies, threats, and vulnerabilities using AWS-native and third-party tools.
  • Implement encryption, network segmentation, secure logging, and automated remediation strategies.
  • Build and maintain Terraform modules to automate secure provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks (ISO27001, SOC2, etc.).
  • Mentor and support cross-functional teams on security best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Python, Node.js, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of PKI, identity/access management, and cloud security tools.
  • Experience with security audits, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Professional certifications like AWS Security, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, large-scale, or multi-regional environment.
