Financial Modeling ExpertWe are seeking a highly skilled financial modeling expert to lead our product development team. As a key member, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our AI Assistant for Spreadsheets.Rigorously test and evaluate the model's financial outputs for correctness, edge cases, and domain consistency.Create tests that tell us if our AI is improving or regressing at financial modeling.Help us codify 'good financial modeling' so we can turn it into heuristics, rules, or guardrails for model behavior.Rank our failures from 'this would fail an audit' to 'this is just preference.'Recommend where to invest development effort based on user needs.The ideal candidate has professional experience in finance, with 2-5 years of experience in IB, PE, VC, consulting, or corporate FP&A. They must have deep Excel/Google Sheets expertise — formula construction, model architecture, best practices. A CFA level 1 or higher is preferred. The ability to articulate why methodology matters, not just what the answer is, is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have interest in AI product development and how evaluation systems work.
