Financial Data AnalystThis is an exciting opportunity to support the finance department in producing accurate and timely financial reports, performing basic analysis, and assisting in the continuous improvement of reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to stakeholders.Collaborate with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that meets company policies.Design and create data-driven analysis and reports that include summaries, graphs, diagrams, and other visual representations using BI or Excel.Develop and maintain forecasting databases/tools and provide insights to leaders on outcomes.Data Analysis Expertise:Perform advanced analysis on financial data, identifying trends, variances, and key metrics to inform business decisions.Provide actionable insights and summaries to support strategic planning by senior finance and business leaders.Maintain/update/create technical specifications (e.g., data mapping, data flows, and dashboard content) to optimize data quality and consistency.Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting by validating data inputs.Developing data standards and metadata to streamline reporting and analytics.System Maintenance and Improvement:Assist in maintaining and updating financial reporting systems (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to enhance user experience and efficiency.Integrate and mine large data sets, connecting data from disparate sources to identify critical insights and pragmatic data solutions.Learn and leverage business intelligence tools to automate reporting processes and improve productivity.Process Optimization:Identify opportunities to automate or enhance existing reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to develop sustainable reporting processes that meet evolving business needs.Implement internal controls as necessary to ensure compliance and accountability.
