Financial Consultant RoleJob Title: Financial ConsultantJob Description:This is a key opportunity for an experienced Financial Consultant to join our organization and contribute to the success of our finance function.Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze financial process requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.Configure and maintain Oracle Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Tax modules.Map business processes for Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Return-to-Retail (R2R) cycles to Oracle functionalities, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.Develop functional specification documents, BRDs, and configuration workbooks to support project planning and execution.Lead Data Conversions, Mappings, FUT, and own all Finance-related objects for opening balances, AP/AR transactions, and assets, ensuring data integrity and quality.Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, conduct system testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure smooth system deployment.Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues; manage Oracle SRs for defect resolution, minimizing downtime and maintaining high system availability.Provide end-user training and create process documentation to support user adoption and operational excellence.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality deliverables, meeting regulatory standards and organizational expectations.Demonstrate a decent understanding of Revenue Accounting principles ASC 606 and ASC 842, applying knowledge to drive financial excellence.Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues, leveraging expertise to improve system performance and user experience.Manage Oracle SRs for defect resolution with quick turnarounds, minimizing business disruption and maximizing system uptime.Provide end-user training and create user guides/process documentation to support user adoption and operational excellence.Design and implement approval workflows for finance transactions, enhancing transparency and accountability.Assist in financial reporting setup and advise on system best practices to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effort.Perform impact analysis for new releases, patches, and enhancements, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.Participate in project planning, estimations, timelines, and deliverables tracking, contributing to successful project outcomes.Ensure SOX compliance and other regulatory standards in system setup, maintaining organizational risk management.Assist in change management activities, including communications and training rollout, supporting business transformation.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for financial systems, driving innovation and excellence.
