Position: Senior Network Engineer (L3) - VeloCloud

Location: Hybrid/Remote

VeloCloud, now part of VMware, is a leading provider of cloud-delivered SD-WAN technology that enables enterprises to securely support application growth, network agility, and simplified branch implementations.


Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer to join our team in supporting and troubleshooting complex enterprise SD-WAN deployments. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for our SD-WAN solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the highest tier of technical escalation for complex network issues

- Architect and optimize enterprise-grade SD-WAN solutions

- Debug complex network problems across distributed environments

- Develop technical documentation and knowledge base articles

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

- Interface directly with enterprise customers for critical issues

- Contribute to product improvement through engineering feedback


Required Qualifications:

- 8+ years of enterprise networking experience

- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

- Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, QoS, and WAN technologies

- Strong experience with SD-WAN technologies, preferably VeloCloud

- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certification

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

- Expert-level troubleshooting abilities


Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior VeloCloud implementation experience

- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification

- Experience with automation and orchestration tools

- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices

- Programming experience with REST APIs

- Experience with VMware NSX


Required Soft Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Leadership experience and mentoring capabilities

- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
