SAP Solution Architect – MM / WMExperience: 12–17 YearsLocation: BengaluruDepartment: SAP PracticeOrganization: GyansysRole OverviewGyansys is seeking an experienced and highly hands-on SAP MM/WM Solution Architect to lead solution design, delivery governance, and execution across Procurement, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management functions.The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP MM and WM, end-to-end ownership of solution delivery, and active involvement in presales and practice development initiatives.This role includes Solution & Delivery Ownership (≈75%) and Practice Development & Presales (≈25%).Key Responsibilities1. Solutioning & Delivery Ownership (≈75%)Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of SAP MM/WM solutions across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and enhancement projects.Conduct requirement workshops, process mapping, blueprinting, and solution validation across procurement and warehouse operations.Provide hands-on configuration in MM (P2P) and WM (inbound, outbound, internal warehouse operations).Define integration design between MM/WM and EWM, SD, PP, QM, and FI.Create functional specifications, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure RICEFW readiness.Oversee testing cycles (SIT/UAT), defect management, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.Ensure delivery excellence through solution governance, risk management, and adherence to SAP best practices.Support business stakeholders in optimizing supply chain and warehouse processes.2. Practice Development & Presales (≈25%)Develop reusable solution templates, accelerators, documents, and best-practice frameworks for MM/WM.Support presales activities including RFIs/RFPs, customer presentations, scoping discussions, and estimation.Work closely with Sales & Delivery Leadership in shaping new opportunities and solution proposals.Mentor team members and lead internal capability-building initiatives for MM/WM practice growth.Technical Expertise RequiredSAP MM (Materials Management)Procure-to-Pay (P2P) end-to-end processPurchasing process: PR, PO, Contracts, Scheduling AgreementsVendor evaluation, release strategy, source list, quota arrangementInventory management, MIGO processes, reservations, transfer postingsMaterial valuation, account determination, pricing proceduresIntegration with FI, SD, PP, QM, WMSAP WM (Warehouse Management)Warehouse structure setup: Storage types, sections, storage binsPutaway, picking, replenishment, stock transfer & internal warehouse movementsTransfer orders, movement types, picking strategiesBatch management & handling unit managementWM-MM and WM-SD integrationPhysical inventory and cycle countingKnowledge of RF processes (advantage)Preferred SkillsHands-on experience in S/4HANA MM/WM conversion or greenfield projects.Exposure to EWM (good-to-have).Understanding of warehouse automation, scanning devices, or RFID solutions.Experience working in multi-country rollout environments.Soft SkillsStrong communication and customer-facing skills.Ability to lead workshops and guide stakeholders with confidence.Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capability.Proactive, delivery-focused, and collaborative working style.EducationBachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.SAP MM or WM certification preferred.
