ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the Murex system setup at the client, organization of the support teams, end of day procedures, and the report delivery processCollect and provide detailed technical specifications/business requirement specificationsParticipates in peer review of requirements, technical, and/or testing documentation, and assists mentors junior members with sameAnalyze Datamart setup and the table structures for the purpose of identifying redundant objects, to minimise execution time of batches, and to seek possibility of reuse of objectsSegregate reports by users, products, creation classes, fields needed, complexity and frequency of executionDevelop a generic datamodel and then create Datamart objects as required for the reportsAnalyze differences caused by adding or removing some filter conditions / dynamic table flags/launcher flagsCreate and suggest processes, templates, and tools to streamline the development, testing, and implementation phasesAnalyses issues during planning and test execution phasesProvide relevant and accurate information about defects and help the business reproduce errorsPrepare and send effective periodic and timely status reportsTrack the testing progress and escalate the issue well in advanceAssists in the preparation and execution of test plansIdentifies the conditions that create errors to occur and escalates outstanding issues for clarification and resolutionEscalates identified issues/risks in a timely fashion to the team lead.Assist team lead with effort estimation related to the development and UATEnsures test documentation and deliverables are consistent with defined standardsCoordinate with development and infrastructure team for availability of Mx environments and databaseCreate and maintain report delivery plan with relevant traceabilitySkills -Must have4-8 years of experience on MX3.1 DatamartIn-depth understanding of MX reporting architecture, MX data model, and MX Datamart configurationFamiliarity with mxres configuration files, and launcher flagsThorough knowledge of Datamart objectsdynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, scanner templates, etcExperience with Simulation and Risk MatricesExperience with Market risk and credit risk report developmentExperience with RDBMS, e.g., Oracle, SybaseExcellent SQL programming skillsUnix experience necessary; shell programming experience highly desirable; awk, sed, and Perl scripting experience would be a bonusExperience with at least one reporting tool, preferably Actuate eRD ProOther programming experience a plus, esp MS Excel VBAProduct knowledge (Any one or more, FX mandatory)FX, IRD, FI, EQD, CRDTechnical skillsVery good knowledge of SQL (Sybase and Oracle), at least one reporting tool (Actuate, Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy), Basic Unix commandsUnderstanding of Trade Life CycleShould possess an understanding of financial marketsBasic knowledge on financial instruments such as Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Swaps, Futures, Options, FRA, etc
