Job Band: 

The Events and Programming Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events and programs at The Quorum Club. This role involves coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring events align with the club’s values and standards.


Job Responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

People:

  • Lead and manage the events team to achieve high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Address member and vendor concerns promptly and effectively.


Process:

  • Plan and execute a diverse range of events and programs, ensuring high-quality experiences.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for event planning and execution.
  • Utilize member feedback to continuously improve events and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.


Revenue Management/ Cost Optimisation:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and control costs.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to the General Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through events and programs.
  • Develop and implement promotional activities to drive event participation and revenue.


Pre-requisites and Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in literature, advertising, arts journalism, travel writing and curatorial fields.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Culture enthusiast with a deep appreciation and understanding of literature, theatre, music, films, art, politics, current affairs, wellness, lifestyle, media, design, food, and culture.
  • A curious and engaged individual connected to the city's artistic, literary, F&B, and cultural scene.
  • Enjoys socializing, possesses an extroverted and pleasing personality, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work late hours.
  • Confident and Excellent Communication skills.
