Role Summary

The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of accounting principles and the ability to analyze financial data accurately. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives and maintain the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making.


General Ledger and Reconciliation

Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.

Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts receivable/payable, and intercompany transactions.


Budgeting and Forecasting

Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing input based on financial trends and analysis.

Monitor budget adherence and report on deviations.


Accounts Payable and Receivable

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.

Oversee invoicing, credit management, and collections, maintaining strong relationships

with vendors and clients.


Tax Compliance and Reporting

Ensure compliance with Central, State, and local tax regulations.

Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory filings

Internal Controls and Process Improvement

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency within the accounting department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally or Zoho Books) and advanced Excel skills.
