Backend Engineering OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing secure REST APIs using FastAPI. You will also implement background jobs using APScheduler or RQ, design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, handle data ingestion and file storage, containerize backend with Docker, and integrate with authentication using Keycloak.Main Responsibilities:Develop Secure RESTful APIs: Design, develop, and deploy secure RESTful APIs using FastAPI.Implement Background Jobs: Implement background jobs using APScheduler or RQ to streamline tasks and improve system efficiency.Database Management: Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL schemas to ensure data integrity and performance.Data Ingestion and Storage: Handle data ingestion and file storage using local or MinIO solutions.Containerization: Containerize the backend using Docker to ensure consistency and portability.Authentication Integration: Integrate with authentication using Keycloak to provide secure access control.Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, including experience with FastAPI and Pydantic.Database Management: Experience with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and REST API design.Operating System: Basic Linux skills and deployment knowledge.Redis/RQ: Experience with Redis and RQ for job scheduling.OAuth2/OIDC: Understanding of OAuth2 and OIDC for authentication.Time-Series Data: Experience with KPI or time-series data analysis.
