Windows packager:


Job Description:

  • Good understanding of Software packaging lifecycle.
  • Creating packaging of commercial off the shelf software, in-house software, browsers, browser extensions, and drivers.
  • Creating, testing, deploying software packages utilizing SCCM/BigFix/Intune and 3rd party tools as required.
  • Maintaining and updating existing software packages by following best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment
  • Evaluate new releases, fixes, security updates etc., for supported applications and installation on all supported workstations platforms.
  • Providing third-level support for Windows workstations on software issues escalated by first or second level support. Troubleshooting workstation incidents and problems with a focus on enhancing & optimizing package automation process.
  • Maintain the stability of endpoints & improving developer experience in the company by addressing workstation software asset challenges.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, SOPs for software packaging, problems solved, automations built, including certification processes.


Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in an engineering function supporting Windows operating systems.
  • Experience creating installation/packaging/deployment scripts.
  • Experience with BigFix or Intune or SCCM
  • Experience with scripting using PowerShell, or similar.
  • Expert level troubleshooting on Windows operating environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows systems management in an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems
  • Experience with network infrastructure (LAN\WAN\Wi-Fi).
  • Keep on top of the latest technologies and market trends in the information technology field and provide recommendations on new applications, products, and or solutions.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills, Learning, Adaptability & Problem-solving.
