Poindexter & Co., Inc. & is headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA.Position OverviewThis position will be responsible for all technical aspects of Power BI report development. Either as an individual contributor or as a team player supporting Power BI lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of reports for various departments across business units.Responsibilities:- Power BI Report development.- Building Analysis Services reporting models.- Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.- Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.- Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.- Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.- Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.- Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.- Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.- Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.- Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.Requirements:- Should have 8-10 year of experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and ERP (JD Edwards/ SAP etc), experience with JDE will be preferred.- Knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack- Grip over data analytics- Should possess software development skills- Data Source Connectivity: Knowledge of connecting to various data sources, such as databases, cloud services, and APIs- Power Query: Ability to use Power Query for data extraction and transformation- SQL: Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.- Nice to have Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate: This certification covers Power BI in detail and demonstrates your proficiency in data analysis using Power BI.- Nice to have Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certified: This certification specifically focuses on Power BI and certifies your skills in data modelling, visualizations, and DAX.Code of Ethics:JB Poindexter (India) Private Limited, requires the highest standard of ethics in all business dealings, with customers, suppliers, advisors, employees, and authorities.
