SolarWinds Automation SpecialistWe are seeking a seasoned SolarWinds engineer to oversee and optimize our platform's operations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the SolarWinds Orion suite, with expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, and PowerShell development.Key Responsibilities:Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Automation Development: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as node onboarding/offboarding, alert suppression or muting during maintenance windows, custom alert/report generation and distribution, SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancements.Custom Monitoring Logic: Implement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Tool Development: Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Monitoring Configuration: Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Data Analysis and Reporting: Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Alert and Notification Management: Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Security Posture: Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.
