📍 Location: Bangalore (Onsite)

📅 Duration: 6+ Months (Likely to Extend – Long Term Project)

⏰ Notice Period: Immediate to Max 3 Weeks

💻 Work Type: Contract


About the Role

This is not a typical API or web development requirement. We’re looking for someone with deep XML expertise who can design, parse, and present complex data using XML schemas. If your XML experience is limited to updating configuration files, this will not be a match.

You’ll be working on technical publications for aircraft product specifications and maintenance manuals – large, complex datasets being converted into electronic form. XML here is the presentation layer enabling this transformation.


✅ Essential Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves):
  • Strong background in data-focused work (data analysis, data modeling).
  • Deep expertise in XML Schema development, including advanced features like extension, restriction, and redefinition.
  • 5+ years of hands-on XML experience (creation, processing, XPath usage).
  • Proven ability to critically think, problem solve, and facilitate discussions with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience collaborating directly with Business SMEs to evolve XML schemas for new platforms.
  • Comfortable handling projects that cannot be simplified into fixed inputs/outputs for outsourcing.


🌟 Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
  • Knowledge of DTD.
  • Experience with S1000D, ATA 2300, and ATA 2200 schemas.
  • 10+ years of XML/XPath experience.
  • Familiarity with Oxygen XML Editor, ISO Schematron, and XSL.
