Job Title: Senior Backend Developer Blossom Social is pioneering the future of social investing. You will design and implement high-performance backend solutions that ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and scaling of high-volume backend services to support our growing user base and data throughput.Own end-to-end delivery of critical backend initiatives - from design and implementation to production rollout and monitoring.Architect robust systems and improve our microservices framework to enhance performance and facilitate international expansion.Ensure system reliability, efficiency and redundancy, including disaster recovery strategies and data integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend features with user demands and business goals.Mentor junior developers and lead by example in coding, process refinement and architectural decisions.Optimize existing systems for maximum speed and scalability through rigorous testing and profiling.Drive innovations in data security, including enhanced protocols for user data protection and compliance with global standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.4+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record in scalable systems.Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java or Go.Extensive experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and serverless architectures.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Strong database management skills with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience with financial services applications or social networking platforms will be beneficial.What We Value:We value ownership, curiosity and collaboration.
