Legal and Compliance Leadership OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned legal professional to serve as the leader of our India operations. As the Senior Director – Legal, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment with global legal and compliance objectives.Key Responsibilities:Represent Everise in India, providing strategic guidance on legal matters and compliance initiatives.Support regional initiatives, compliance rollouts, and corporate structuring activities under the guidance of the Global Chief Legal Officer.Data Protection & Cross-Border ComplianceYou will ensure adherence to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). This involves staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and implementing effective compliance strategies.This role requires strong expertise in data protection laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance across various departments and ensuring that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining data protection standards.Qualifications & ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent from a reputable university. Advanced or international legal education is preferred. We are looking for an individual with at least 5-7 years of experience in a similar leadership position, preferably in the Indian market.Additionally, we require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A proven track record of success in implementing compliance programs and navigating complex regulatory environments is essential for this role.
