Job DescriptionOur company is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). This position involves designing and developing automated and manual test cases to validate product features. Additionally, you will work with a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and features.As an SDET, your primary responsibilities include:Designing and developing both automated and manual test cases to validate product featuresRunning automated and manual tests as needed to validate product defect fixes and functionalityWorking with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and featuresTriage test failures on a daily basisContribute to QA reports and provide input on release metricsContribute to and validate product documentationTo be considered for this role, you must have at least 8 years of component and system-level test experience, along with 8+ years of experience working in Linux environments with Python languages. You should also possess strong knowledge of Parallel File Systems, particularly Lustre.Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent time management skills are essential, along with strong communication skills to concisely share knowledge with teammates.Required Skills and QualificationsThe following qualifications are required:BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience8+ years of component and system-level test experience8+ years of experience working in Linux environments with Python languagesExperience with distributed filesystem storage environmentsExperience with file system, hardware fundamentals and common protocols (NFS / CIFS)Experience in storage systems troubleshooting and integration (NAS appliance a plus)Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast paced environmentKnowledge of Parallel File Systems, in particular Lustre, is highly preferredExperience with git, JIRA, Jenkins and gerrit preferredOur team operates with a flat organizational structure and encourages engineers to work across multiple areas of the company.
