Purpose of role: Skilled Network Administrator to oversee our computer networks, ensuring the highest levels of network security and optimal performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage networks with a focus on security and efficiency.
  • Regularly monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure reliability and availability.
  • Implement and maintain security measures and protocols to protect the network against threats.
  • Work closely with the Security Operations Center (SoC) to detect, analyze, and respond to network security incidents.
  • Stay updated with the latest network security trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT team to optimize network performance and security.
  • Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on network usage and security best practices.


Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [ 3 years] experience in network administration, with a strong emphasis on network security.
  • Hands-on experience with network security protocols, SoC operations, and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in managing firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.


Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
