Technical Project Manager – Smart Home & Building Automation📍 Chennai | 🏢 Nakshatra Automation💼 4–7 years experience | 💰 ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 / monthAbout the RoleNakshatra Automation is looking for a strong Technical Project Manager to own end-to-end execution of smart home & building automation projects.This role is for someone who can lead technically, manage subcontractors confidently, ensure quality delivery, and give customers absolute confidence — without micromanagement from leadership.This is a core leadership role, not a coordinator or pure programmer role.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical OwnershipOwn technical delivery of automation projects (pre-install to handover)Review wiring plans, panel schedules, routing, BOQ from a technical perspectiveWork with Technical Lead (R&D) on complex integrations and system logicExecution & InstallationPlan and drive installation & commissioning activitiesLead and guide internal engineers during programming and testingEnsure clean, safe, professional installation standardsSubcontractor ManagementTechnically guide and control subcontractor teamsResolve on-site technical issues decisivelyEnsure adherence to company standards and timelinesQuality & CommissioningApprove wiring readiness before installationLead system testing, commissioning, and final validationEnsure zero major rework due to technical gapsClient Interaction (Technical)Attend key technical meetings with customersExplain automation logic and system behavior confidentlySupport smooth handover with strong technical confidence(Routine updates and documentation are handled by a separate coordinator)Escalation & SupportHandle advanced technical escalations before they reach leadershipSupport service team on complex issues when requiredWhat You Will NOT DoNo routine client follow-ups or payment chasingNo documentation maintenance or spreadsheetsNo daily electrician chasingNo admin or coordination work👉 This role is pure technical leadership + execution ownership.Required ProfileEducationB.E / B.Tech – EEE / ECE / E&I preferredExperience4–7 years in Home Automation / BMS / ELV / Electrical Project ExecutionStrong site experience with wiring, panels, and commissioningTechnical KnowledgeElectrical wiring concepts (L/N/S, dimming, loads, CAT6, CCTV)Exposure to automation systems (KNX / Zigbee / Wi-Fi / HA / IoT)Basic networking knowledge (routers, switches, IP basics)Ability to read and interpret electrical drawingsPersonality (Non-negotiable)Strong ownership & accountabilityCalm under pressure, no egoConfident with electricians & subcontractorsClear communicationSolution-oriented mindsetHigh integrity and reliabilityWhy Join Nakshatra AutomationHigh-impact leadership role in a fast-growing automation companyWork on premium residential & commercial automation projectsClear role boundaries and structured team supportFreedom to make technical decisionsProfessional work culture focused on quality and growthLong-term career growth opportunityHow to Apply📧 Send your details to nakshatraautomation@gmail.com
