Job Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Mobile Application Developer to lead the development and optimization of our cross-platform mobile applications. This role requires a skilled React Native developer who can architect and build scalable applications that work seamlessly across iOS, Android, and web. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ensure our applications are high-performing, reliable, and provide a great user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobile Application Development: Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and performance.
  • Architecture & Framework Design: Work on the micro front-end architecture, dividing application features into independent modules that can be developed, tested, and released independently across mobile and web platforms.
  • Performance & Optimization: Optimize applications for performance and ensure stability and scalability across various devices and platforms, with a particular focus on maintaining a crash-free experience.
  • Cross-Platform Animation & Gestures: Utilize React Native Reanimated and Gesture Handler to implement smooth, high-performance animations and gestures across mobile devices.
  • Modularization & Over-the-Air Updates: Manage and release individual modules via OTA updates, enabling rapid feature rollouts and independent module releases.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend engineers, to iterate on features. Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Navigation & Storage Solutions: Implement navigation using React Navigation for mobile and React Router DOM for web, creating a unified navigation experience across platforms. Design and maintain shared data storage solutions for consistency.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in mobile development with a strong focus on React Native and cross-platform solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of React Native with experience in complex state management (Redux or MobX).
  • Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency with React Native Web to extend React Native apps to the web.
  • Experience with React Native Reanimated and React Native Gesture Handler for animations and gesture-based interactions.
  • Familiarity with Webpack and Module Federation for managing micro front-end modules.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Appcenter or similar) for streamlined deployment.
  • Knowledge of OTA update tools like CodePush or similar.
