We are seeking an experienced Observability Technical Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of analysts, providing guidance on Dynatrace administration, and driving advanced observability initiatives.Job DescriptionThe Observability Technical Lead will serve as the primary escalation point for L1/L2 teams, provide strategic recommendations, manage critical incidents, and ensure the monitoring platform delivers actionable insights supporting business outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor L1 and L2 support teams, providing guidance, knowledge transfer, and escalation supportExhibit strong product fundamentals and technical understanding of Dynatrace and associated observability toolsDynatrace Managed Administration, including cluster management and best practicesProvide L3 support for Dynatrace APM, including incident analysis, root cause identification, and resolution of complex application and infrastructure monitoring issuesManage customer escalations and conduct customer calls as requiredConfigure and maintain dashboards, alerting profiles, tagging, synthetic monitors, and business transactionsSet up and manage ActiveGates for custom plugins, extensions, and synthetic monitoringOnboard and manage OneAgents for OpenShift & Kubernetes workloadsSet up RUM (Real User Monitoring) for applicationsTroubleshoot issues, perform log analysis, and drive resolution to closureHandle SSL certificate renewals/removals, port checks, and firewall connectivity verificationWork with Dynatrace Support to raise, track, and resolve ticketsManage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem recordsCollaborate with cross-functional teams for monitoring enablement and ensure adherence to performance monitoring best practicesKubernetes & OpenShift administration; exposure to AWS and GCP environmentsAutomate routine maintenance tasks and deployment activities using scripting (Python, Shell) and infrastructure-as-code toolsParticipate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to refining monitoring standards and operational processesAnalyze trends and provide proactive recommendations for dashboards, problem detection rules, and monitoring coverageDevelop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articlesStay updated with Dynatrace product features, industry trends, and observability best practicesKnowledge of Java, .NET, or other application frameworks and their monitoring requirementsStrong troubleshooting skills in distributed and cloud-native application environmentsCollaborate with business teams to translate technical insights into actionable recommendationsStrong understanding of ITIL and ITSM workflows, including incident, change, and problem managementMandatory Certifications:Dynatrace Associate CertificationDynatrace Professional CertificationPreferred: Any advanced Dynatrace certification focused on cloud monitoring (AWS/GCP/Azure)Preferred Skills:Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesUnderstanding of network protocols, databases, and infrastructure components impacting application performanceExperience mentoring junior team members or L1/L2 support staffSoft Skills:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a collaborative team environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple critical incidents with business impact in mindEducational Qualification:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
