Job Title: TIBCO Spotfire Developer


We are looking for a skilled TIBCO Spotfire Developer with expertise in data visualization, dashboard creation, and advanced reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of Spotfire dashboards, interacting with clients, gathering business requirements, and handling data modeling, analysis, and extraction. Experience with Iron Python scripting and proficiency in SQL is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirement Gathering: Interact with clients to gather and negotiate business requirements.
  • Data Modeling & Optimization: Develop physical and logical data models from source data, optimize them for performance, and manage custom reporting solutions in Spotfire.
  • Spotfire Dashboards & Reports Development: Build dashboards, visualizations, and advanced reports in TIBCO Spotfire.
  • Advanced Spotfire Features: Utilize advanced Spotfire features such as multiple filtering schemes, custom expressions, multiple data tables, property controls, and dynamic control properties.
  • Scripting & UI Design: Preferred experience in Iron Python Scripting and UI Design using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • SQL Expertise: Write advanced SQL queries and efficiently work with MS SQL Server and Postgres RDBMS.
  • Data Management & ETL: Perform data management, extraction, and analysis. Experience with ETL tools like ALTERYX or other ETL tools is a plus.
  • Spotfire Administration: Handle Spotfire administrative tasks such as migration, access management, and scheduling updates.
  • Performance Optimization: Improve dashboard performance using Spotfire Data Functions and Automation Services.
  • Problem Solving: Break down complex problems and provide effective solutions.


Required Skills:

  • Mandatory:
  • 6-12 years of experience in TIBCO Spotfire (depending on G5/G6 levels).
  • Strong expertise in building Spotfire Dashboards, Visualizations, and Reports.
  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with MS SQL Server and Postgres RDBMS.
  • Hands-on experience with Spotfire features like custom expressions, multiple marking, filtering schemes, dynamic controls, and property control.
  • Knowledge of Spotfire Admin Activities such as migration, access management, and scheduling updates.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Iron Python Scripting.
  • Knowledge of UI Design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Experience with ETL tools like ALTERYX.
