Job Overview:


We seek a highly experienced and visionary Mobile Application Development Team Lead to oversee the development of scalable mobile solutions at I-PAC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in reputable organizations where they have successfully led teams in building robust, scalable mobile products. You will lead a talented team of developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile applications that support our strategic operations.

You will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of our mobile applications, driving best practices, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that we build user-centric, performance-optimized, and secure mobile apps that can scale seamlessly.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of mobile app developers to create innovative, high-performance, and scalable applications.
  • Leverage your experience in large-scale mobile app projects to guide the team in designing for scale, security, and maintainability.
  • Ensure best practices in mobile development, including architecture, code quality, and performance optimization, are followed across the team.

Mobile Application Development:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of mobile application development, from initial concept and design through to deployment and post-launch maintenance.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise in Flutter, Java, Kotlin, and other relevant technologies to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, cross-platform mobile apps.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to optimize API integration and ensure that apps perform reliably under heavy user loads.

Scalability & Performance:

  • Design mobile applications with scalability and performance in mind, ensuring that our apps can support high user volumes without compromising on quality.
  • Apply industry best practices for scalability, including modular architecture, efficient state management (Bloc, Riverpod), and performance monitoring.
  • Proactively address potential bottlenecks and optimize the app to handle increasing traffic or feature complexity.

Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with product managers, campaign teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the planning and prioritization of mobile development tasks and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct regular updates with stakeholders on progress, risks, and potential areas for improvement.

Technical Problem Solving:

  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues, including performance bottlenecks, architectural challenges, and user interface/experience issues.
  • Lead the team in troubleshooting and debugging, providing expertise in resolving critical issues that affect app scalability or stability.

Innovation & Trend Awareness:

  • Stay at the forefront of mobile development technologies and trends, and implement innovative solutions that improve the scalability and performance of our products.
  • Share your knowledge and expertise with the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role building and scaling mobile applications.
  • Proven experience in reputable organizations, leading the development of large-scale mobile products that handle significant traffic and complex user interactions.
  • Expertise in Flutter, Dart, Java, and Kotlin, with a deep understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices for scalability.
  • Solid experience with agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and other backend systems, with an emphasis on optimizing performance.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies for mobile apps.


Preferred Skills:


  • Expertise in state management using Bloc, Riverpod, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) for scaling mobile applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket).
  • A strong understanding of mobile security best practices and performance monitoring tools.
