Job Opportunity: As a Senior Systems Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing a global 24x7 production infrastructure. This includes ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across multi-site environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automation and performance improvements.Responsibilities:Manage an international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure powering services, including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.Root-cause complex problems involving multiple stakeholders, network, hardware, and software that relate to scaling and performance.Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.Contribute to evolving infrastructure design and architecture for reliable and scalable operations.Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure operational standards are observed, determine resource impacts for upcoming deployments, and ensure successful rollouts.Participate in on-call rotations and be prepared to jump on escalated issues as needed.Requirements:5+ years of experience managing, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux systems.Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative demeanor.Experience automating management of systems and applications using scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.Industry-standard foundation technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, and LDAP.Experience in large distributed computing environments and virtualization – KVM, VMware vSphere, or OpenStack.Verbal and written communication skills.Monitoring and alerting systems expertise.Configuration management skills – Puppet or Chef.Load-balancing technologies knowledge – F5, Netscaler, or similar.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Talent development opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications.Cutting-edge technology experience.Employee engagement initiatives including flexible work hours, project parties, and Long Service awards.Annual health check-ups.Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents.Our Values:At Persistent Ltd., we value diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
