Job Overview:The Energy Modelling Specialist is responsible for developing energy simulations and building performance analysis for green building certifications and other energy efficiency projects. This role involves creating accurate energy models, conducting technical analyses, and supporting project teams in achieving compliance with sustainability and energy performance requirements.Develop building energy simulation models using industry-standard software such as eQuest, Design Builder, IES VE, etcSupport LEED, Estidama, DGBC, and other green building certifications by preparing necessary documentation, calculations, and simulation reportsAssist in reviewing architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to extract inputs for energy modelling and system analysisConduct baseline and proposed case simulations in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1 and relevant standardsAnalyse simulation results to identify energy conservation measures and optimisation opportunitiesSupport the preparation of energy and water efficiency reports, feasibility studies, and carbon reduction analysesCollaborate with design teams to provide recommendations on passive design strategies, HVAC system optimisation, and renewable energy integrationStay updated with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Estidama) and international standards related to energy performance and building simulationKey Responsibilities:Energy Modelling and Simulation: Develop accurate energy models and conduct technical analyses to support project teams in achieving compliance with sustainability and energy performance requirementsDocumentation and Reporting: Prepare necessary documentation, calculations, and simulation reports to support LEED, Estidama, DGBC, and other green building certificationsDrawings and Specifications: Assist in reviewing architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to extract inputs for energy modelling and system analysisSimulation and Analysis: Conduct baseline and proposed case simulations in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1 and relevant standards, analyse simulation results to identify energy conservation measures and optimisation opportunitiesReports and Studies: Support the preparation of energy and water efficiency reports, feasibility studies, and carbon reduction analysesDesign Support: Collaborate with design teams to provide recommendations on passive design strategies, HVAC system optimisation, and renewable energy integrationProfessional Development: Stay updated with local authority requirements and international standards related to energy performance and building simulation
