Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned professional to lead independent validations and reviews of risk models. The role ensures models are functioning correctly, comply with regulatory requirements, and accurately identify, measure, and report risks to senior management.The ideal candidate will perform in-depth validations and reviews of new and existing models used across the organization, including those for fraud risk, compliance risk, and other areas. This includes testing conceptual soundness, data accuracy, methodology, and ongoing performance through techniques like backtesting, benchmarking, and stress testing.The successful candidate will provide an effective challenge throughout the model validation/review process to ensure robust models with justified assumptions and limitations. They will present findings and observations to model developers/owners, providing executable finding remediations.The job requires preparing detailed validation reports and memos that document the validation approach, findings, and conclusions. Additionally, the candidate will participate in internal audits and regulatory exams by presenting validation results and methodologies.Required Skills and QualificationsA Master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline;At least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience;Hands-on experience in statistical and AI/ML model development or validation;Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS;Knowledge of model risk management policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory guidance;Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.BenefitsThis is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to work on challenging projects and develop their skills in risk management and model validation.
