About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team and contribute to building high-performance database solutions. RockED is a cutting-edge people development platform that supports the entire employee lifecycle from pre-hire to career transitions.As a MySQL Database Developer, you'll have a strong hand in designing, developing, and maintaining MySQL database schemas, queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures. Your expertise will ensure data integrity, security, backups, and high availability while optimizing database performance through indexing, query tuning, caching, and load balancing.You'll work closely with backend engineers to integrate MySQL effectively within Node.js services and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall application performance. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot database-related issues and drive root-cause analysis.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop efficient MySQL database structures for B2C applications.Ongoing optimization of database performance through indexing strategies and execution plans.Collaboration with the engineering team on system design discussions and proposals for scalable database solutions.Troubleshooting of complex database-related issues and driving root-cause analysis.Requirements:At least 3 years of dedicated hands-on experience with MySQL, including query writing, optimization, schema design, and performance improvements.A deep understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, indexing strategies, and execution plans.Experience working on high-scale product-based companies, particularly in fast-paced startup environments where speed and scalability matter.Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards.About YouTo succeed in this role, you should possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively.
