Job DescriptionThe role of a financial analyst involves working closely with finance, accounting and leadership teams to ensure accurate budgeting, planning and financial performance tracking.Key responsibilities include:Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, cash flow and performance metrics to inform business decisions.Preparing regular financial reports to provide insights into company performance.Monitoring key financial indicators and providing recommendations for business improvement.Budgeting and forecasting are critical components of the job. You will assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts, track budget variances and provide explanations for deviations.Data modeling and insights are another important aspect of the role. You will build and maintain financial models, interpret data trends and provide recommendations for business improvement. Conducting cost-benefit analyses is also a key responsibility.Business support is an essential function of the job. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial inputs, provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, investments and projects and review financial performance of departments and products.Compliance and documentation are critical components of the job. You will ensure financial practices comply with GAAP and company policies, prepare documentation for audits and regulatory requirements and maintain accurate and organized financial records.Required Skills and QualificationsA bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and macros.Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle and NetSuite, and BI tools.Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
