Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, manage, and maintain AWS WAF rules and policies to protect cloud applications from common web exploits.
  • Implement and monitor security best practices for cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate WAF into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Analyse threat patterns and respond to incidents related to cloud-based services.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends and vulnerabilities.

Requirement:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Security, preferably with a focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience managing AWS WAF and configuring security rules.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with other AWS security services like AWS Shield, Guard Duty, IAM, CloudTrail etc.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Solutions Architect – Associate).
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools or incident response procedures.
