Every day, millions of bottles, cans and containers are "processed" in Krones lines - in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industries, dairy and liquid food industry as well as in the chemical, pharmaceutical and home & personal care industries.It is quite likely that the bottle of water, cola or juice in your hand is manufactured in one of the Krones linesKrones Digital Solutions India is created as of 2023 to be the Technology Competence Centre for Krones, focusing on developing software solutions for the Internal organization as well as for the customers of Krones Global.Who are we looking for?We are currently looking for a Lead ServiceNow Architect, who will collaborate with Krones AG Group entities and partner stakeholders on ServiceNow topics within the Krones Digital Strategic project initiatives.You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and designing scalable, efficient solutions—including workflows, integrations, and customizations—across ITSM, ITOM, and other ServiceNow modules.And will be working closely with external partners and internal platform teams at KDSI and Krones Germany, you will ensure successful implementation aligned with enterprise standards.In addition to technical leadership, the position will own the delivery of ServiceNow solutions and actively collaborate with the matrix organization within Krones and third-party partners to secure adherence to project scope, timelines, quality and abiding by implementation standards in accordance with global benchmarks.This role is critical to ensuring successful business outcomes and delivering tangible value to the organization through the strategic project initiatives.The role will be based out of Bangalore and will directly report to the Head of Product Development, KDSI.What are you in for? (Roles and responsibilities)Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the below:Act as the internal architectural authority for ServiceNow, providing strategic direction and design validation.Contribute to the platform strategy and roadmap by aligning long-term architecture with service evolution, while defining and evolving platform-level design patterns, guardrails, and integration principles.Review and approve solution designs delivered by external partners to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, while ensuring services are interoperable, maintainable, scalable, and deliver seamless experiences.Govern use of platform structures such as data models, workflows and service hierarchies.Drive automation transformation by leading adoption of workflow automation, orchestration and low-code/no-code capabilities cross company and also guarantee that integrations and automation on the platform are designed to meet performance, compliance and supportability expectations.Championing the adoption of AI and machine learning features to improve user experience, decision-making and operational efficiency.Provide strategic leadership in vendor management, driving licensing optimization and planning ServiceNow release.Drive architectural convergence by promoting reuse of design patterns and consistency across modules and translates business needs and platform vision into architectural requirements for delivery partners.Engage with sponsors and stakeholders to present solution options with strategic insights, clearly articulating benefits, trade-offs, and risks, while driving innovation through the adoption of emerging ServiceNow features and industry best practices.Perform business analysis tasks such as stakeholder interviews, requirement elicitation and documentation of business needs.Facilitate workshops and customer meetings to gather input, present ideas, and guide strategic discussions toward actionable outcomes.Lead the analysis of business requirements and the creation of detailed documentation including process flows, gap analyses, and functional specifications—while driving the definition and deployment of future-state processes and ServiceNow solutions aligned with industry best practices.Design scalable and efficient solutions, including workflows, integrations and customizations across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM and other ServiceNow modules.Collaborate with the ServiceNow CoEI team within the Krones AG Group and other departments to ensure alignment and successful delivery.What is in it for you?You are a part of a brand-new org. setup - with a clean slate and a mission to build a People first organization.You work beyond borders, with international teams seeking and imparting learning through shared/individual experiences and knowledge through the community.Holds high global visibility, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on Krones' strategic product roadmap.What are we looking for? (Experience/Qualifications/Skillsets/Must-haves)Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's in engineering/computer science/mathematics/physics or a comparable qualification with 14 - 16 years of total experience and 7 - 8 years of relevant ServiceNow experience.Must have:Strong architectural background with deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, including data structures, modular architecture, workflow capabilities and integration patterns.Proven experience in leading diverse ServiceNow assignments, with the ability to independently initiate and drive platform improvements and transformational change.Confident in acting as the internal design authority within a fully outsourced delivery model, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment.Skilled in guiding architectural trade-offs, balancing long-term maintainability with delivery speed and business agility.Hands-on experience with data modelling, platform modularity, and reusable design patterns.Enterprise mindset, with the ability to think beyond individual modules or use cases to support platform-wide scalability and strategic alignment.Clear communicator, capable of translating complex architectural concepts into practical collaboration models for both internal and external stakeholders.Thrives in a platform-centric environment where service integrity, performance, and user experience are critical success factors.Certifications (preferred):Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD)Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Good to haveProfessional AttributesStrong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Good interpersonal and organizational skills.Collaborate effectively with teams to drive solutions forward and foster a productive work environment.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Goal-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working in a structured and sustainable manner.Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.Experience in a consulting environment is preferred.
