About the Role:
Looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager for Lagata Group based out of Lagos, Nigeria corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for CI initiatives within the group. This involves understanding the business objectives, identifying improvement opportunities, and setting goals & targets.
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. This may involve conducting data analysis, process mapping, and using other analytical tools to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute improvement projects from start to finish. This includes defining project scopes, setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead change initiatives by effectively communicating the need for improvement, gaining buy-in from stakeholders, and managing resistance to change. This involves developing change management plans, providing training and support to employees, and monitoring the adoption of new processes.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives. Regularly tracking and reporting on performance data to identify trends, evaluate success, and identify areas that require further attention.
- Collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This includes promoting employee involvement, encouraging innovation, and providing opportunities for employees to contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile to drive improvement initiatives. This involves training employees on these methodologies, facilitating improvement workshops, and ensuring the use of appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that continuous improvement efforts align with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This includes integrating quality management principles into improvement projects and monitoring compliance with relevant standards.
Candidate Suitability Criteria:
- Demonstrate practical implementation of TPM/5s/Kaizen/Six sigma/CI/RCA projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Take Initiatives for Process improvements & demonstrate potential savings to the organisation through specific CI/Six sigma projects.
- Expertise in practically using Problem solving methodologies such as Why-Why analysis, Fish-bone diagram, 8D problem solving methodology, Lean manufacturing - Value stream mapping, Kaizen methodology, TPM, Six sigma methodology etc.
- Any Training & development certification attained or suitable experience in any of the above methodologies.
