Supply Chain StrategistKey Responsibilities:Create and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and available resources to ensure efficient production flow.Assess material requirements based on monthly rolling plans and ensure timely availability of raw materials.Develop an effective distribution plan for inventory movement to warehouses and allocate inventory to customer orders.Evaluate cost reduction opportunities through value engineering and cost benefit analysis in respect of materials, transportation, storage, and packing.Monitor consumption patterns of raw materials on a regular basis and take appropriate actions in raw material planning.Prevent detention and demurrage incurred on raw material by efficient planning and scheduling.Determine optimal inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.Ensure that conversion teams adhere to inventory norms.Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, production, and procurement to ensure alignment and effective supply chain operations.Analyze and resolve customer service deficiencies through root cause analysis.Track, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics of the team.Convert slow-moving inventory into value-added assets.
