This role is ideal for a skilled database professional who can ensure high performance, reliability, and automation of database operations in a cloud environment.Job Title ā€“ AWS PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)Location ā€“ ChennaiWork Mode ā€“ Remote / HybridExperience ā€“ 8ā€“12 YearsRole Description8-12 years of experience, graduate with a computer science background, strong AWS cloud services expertise, proficiency in SQL and database security. Implement and monitor PostgreSQL databases on AWS, optimize performance, manage backups and disaster recovery, collaborate with development for automationQualificationAny graduate with Computer science backgroundHands-on and Strong experience with AWS cloud services, especially Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, advantage on knowledge on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQLHands-on with high proficiency in SQL, query performance tuning, and stored proceduresGood exposure with IAM, VPC, KMS, and other AWS security toolsExperience with backup and disaster recovery strategies in AWSProficiency on monitoring and automation tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, etc)AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Database Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectKnowledge on PostgreSQL extensions like PostGIS, pg_stat_statements, and logical replicationRoles and responsibilitiesShould have implemented Design, Deployment of PostgreSQL database on AWS. Knowledge of Aurora is advantagesMonitor and recommendation on optimization of database performance via AWS CloudWatch, performance insights and advice on enhancement from time to timeShould monitor and proactively perform backup activity with distress recovery strategies via AWS servicesGood knowledge on database security and compliances aligned to company policies like IAM security, VPC, etcWork closely with development team for automating database operations, as per recommendation from AWS CloudWatch, etcContinuous monitor the performance and trouble shoot with quicker turnaround timeFlexible working works to keep the system for all time performanceMaintain proper documentation for all upgrades, troubleshooting active for future useRecommendation for cost optimization from time to timeMaintenance and smooth running of databaseAlerts to respective stakeholders for upcoming incidence for proactive measuresPlease send your resume to: divya.muthuraj@springbord.com
