Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing high-performance, async FastAPI endpoints for healthcare billing analysis, managing and optimizing SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar), building data processing pipelines for healthcare EDI files (835, 837) and other structured data, and developing cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Our ideal candidate has a strong background in Python with FastAPI and/or Flask, with a proven track record of building and deploying production-grade backend systems. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is also essential.Key Responsibilities:Backend Services: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI and Flask)Cloud Architecture: Architect and implement high-performance, async FastAPI endpoints for healthcare billing analysis, manage and optimize SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar)Data Pipelines: Build data processing pipelines for healthcare EDI files (835, 837) and other structured dataCloud-Native Solutions: Develop cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud-run for containerized deployments, cloud-sql for managed databases, cloud-storage for object storage, and pub/sub for messagingRequirements:Strong Proficiency in Python with FastAPI and/or Flask, proven track record of building and deploying production-grade backend systemsSolid SQL Expertise and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQLPreferred Skills:Proficiency in Golang for backend services, parsers or system tools, experience with the Fyne framework for desktop apps on Windows and macOSPrior Work with EDI file parsing, data pipelines or automation in healthcare or fintechAbout the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, moving fast in a startup environment, and working across multiple technologies.
