Years of Experience: 3 to 4 years


Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Static Design Engineer with a strong background in designing pressure vessels and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in ASME codes and proficient in using PVlite software for design purposes. The role involves reviewing equipment general arrangements (GA) and manufacturing drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.


Accountable and Responsible for :


1. Design and Development: Perform detailed design and analysis of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with ASME codes.

2. Software Utilization: Utilize PVlite software for creating accurate and compliant designs and ability to static design calculations manually and act as the point of contact during ASME body certification audits for static design. Ready to handle rigorous audit processes for ASME certification.

3. Drawing Review: Review general arrangement (GA) and manufacturing drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

4. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including calculations and reports.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturers, and quality control, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

6. Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, TEMA).

7. Optimization: Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability while maintaining safety and reliability.

8. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve design-related issues that arise during manufacturing and testing.

9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices to continually improve design processes.

  • FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
  • Auto Cad & 3D modelling
  • Conversant with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.



Preferred Qualifications:


Certifications: -

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
  • ASME professional certification or training.
  • Experience with other design software like AutoCAD, or similar.


Industry Knowledge: -

  • Familiarity with other relevant standards such as ASME and TEMA.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
