Role & Responsibilities


The Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Development is responsible for managing all investor relations & corporate development activities and overseeing the company’s M&A initiatives. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations strategy, engaging with the investment community, and identifying and executing strategic M&A opportunities. This incumbent ensures the company’s financial narrative is communicated effectively to stakeholders and supports the company's growth through strategic acquisitions.


Investor Relations Strategy & Corporate Development

  • Develop and implement a proactive investor relations strategy that aligns with the company's goals and enhances its value proposition.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with current investors while identifying and targeting potential investors.


Communication and Reporting

  • Serve as the primary contact for the investment community, including analysts, institutional investors, and retail investors.
  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual financial reports, earnings releases, and other key financial communications.
  • Organize and lead investor meetings, conference calls, and presentations.
  • Develop clear and compelling messaging for earnings releases, press releases, and other communications.


Market Analysis and Feedback

  • Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and investor sentiment.
  • Provide feedback to senior management and the board on market perceptions and investor concerns.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and provide insights on industry developments that may affect the company.


Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all investor communications comply with regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations and disclosure practices.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to maintain accurate and compliant financial disclosures.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including institutional investors, analysts, and retail shareholders.
  • Manage the shareholder engagement process, including responding to inquiries and facilitating shareholder meetings.


Event Management

  • Plan and execute investor-related events such as annual general meetings, investor days, and roadshows.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and investor meetings.


Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company's M&A strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, partnerships, and investment opportunities.


Due Diligence

  • Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and synergy evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, operations) to ensure comprehensive due diligence and integration planning.


Transaction Management

  • Negotiate terms and structure of M&A deals.
  • Manage the end-to-end M&A process, from initial contact to deal closure and integration.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication throughout the transaction process.


Post-Merger Integration

  • Develop and oversee post-merger integration plans to ensure smooth transition and realization of expected synergies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of acquired entities to senior management.


Market and Industry Analysis

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on market insights and competitive analysis.


Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)


Must Have's

  • Circa 12 years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, M&A, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing investor relations for a publicly traded company and executing successful M&A transactions.
  • Experience in strategic financial communications, market analysis, and transaction management.
