Workato Integrations Specialist

Immediate Joiners only. The client is based out of California so the candidate will primarily work in IST timings but 2-3 hours overlap will be required in the evening to coordinate with the US team. This position is 100% remote but strict background checks will be performed on the candidates to prevent any possibility of moonlighting. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Workato Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in developing, deploying, and managing automation solutions using Workato. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in workflow automation, data manipulation, change management, and integration development across various enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities 1. Development & Deployment ·      Design, develop, and deploy scalable Workato integrations and automation solutions. ·      Implement and manage Workato recipes, connectors, and APIs to integrate various SaaS-based applications. ·      Develop custom Workato connectors where necessary to support integration needs. 2. Integration & Data Management ·      Work with Salesforce, Workday, Slack, Google Workspace, NetSuite, and other SaaS-based applications to streamline data workflows. ·      Perform data transformations, validations, and enrichments within Workato recipes. ·      Manage error handling, retry mechanisms, and logging to ensure robust integrations. 3. Change Management & Governance ·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage deployment lifecycles and version control. ·      Follow best practices for testing, release management, and documentation of integrations. ·      Ensure compliance with security and governance policies in integration development. 4. Troubleshooting & Optimization ·      Diagnose and resolve integration issues efficiently to minimize downtime. ·      Optimize recipes and workflows for better performance and reliability. ·      Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking for Workato integrations. 5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement ·      Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and IT to understand automation needs. ·      Provide training and guidance to junior engineers on Workato best practices. ·      Stay updated with Workato's latest features and industry best practices to enhance automation strategies. Required Qualifications & Skills ·      4-6 years of experience in Workato ·      Strong expertise in API integrations, webhooks, and automation workflows. ·      Hands-on experience integrating with SaaS-based applications like Salesforce, Workday, Slack, Google Workspace, NetSuite. ·      Proficiency in data transformation, JSON/XML processing, and scripting (JavaScript, Python, SQL, or Ruby). ·      Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing integrations for performance. ·      Knowledge of authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, SAML, etc.) and security best practices. ·      Understanding of IT governance, change management, and DevOps principles in integration workflows. ·      Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred Skills ·      Workato Automation Pro certification is a plus. ·      Familiarity with AI-powered automation, chatbot integrations, or RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.). ·      Prior experience in enterprise automation projects, ERP/CRM integrations, or workflow automation.
