With our global reach, we ensure the global supply chain has access to the Flash memory it needs to keep our world moving forward.Job DescriptionIn this position, the individual will be responsible for design & development of device FW for next-generation PCIe / NVMe SSD products.Responsibilities:Design, implement, debug firmware for the next generation of SSDsHW Interface drivers, algorithm design and implementationContribute to the SSD firmware and play a significant role in delivering next generation SSDs to marketWork with the firmware Architects, ASIC, flash media, validation and other cross functional teams on regular basisDesign and implement firmware algorithms needed to achieve best in class performance goalsDevelop characterization and evaluation programs for new productsSupport failure analysis on test systemsActive participation in technical design, implementation reviews across teams and functionsQualifications 8+ years of experience in storage, SSD FW developmentExcellent Embedded C programming skills. Good to have Assembly language programming skillsMust have strong problem solving skillsThe ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environmentSelf-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.A proven desire to work as a team member across internal and cross functional teams.Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and globally.Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Additional InformationSandisk thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
