Role Overview:Azure data engineer is a crucial professional in designing, developing, and implementing data analytics solutions using Azure. This role requires expertise in various tools and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Functions, Data Factory, Synapse, and Blob Storage.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Azure data engineer to lead our team in developing innovative data analytic solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers in developing data warehouse and data marts on Azure Databricks. They must have experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira to plan out Program Increments and Sprints.Key Responsibilities:Develop end-to-end data solutions on Azure: The candidate must have proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks/Snowflake. They must also have hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Data Factory, Synapse, and Blob Storage.Perform code reviews and provide feedback: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing code reviews and providing feedback to developers. This includes ensuring that the code meets the required standards and best practices.Design and develop scalable data pipelines: The candidate must have a strong understanding of insurance data domains including policy, claims, and billing. They must also be able to design and develop scalable data pipelines on Azure and Databricks from enterprise source systems.Work knowledge of Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure-as-code tool: The successful candidate must have working knowledge of Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure-as-code tool. They must be able to use this tool to design and implement infrastructure for data engineering solutions.Develop and enhance CI/CD workflows: The candidate must have proven experience integrating data from the Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter). They must also be able to develop and enhance CI/CD workflows for data engineering solutions.Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications:Expertise in Azure: You must have expertise in Azure and its various tools and technologies.Agile development methodologies: You must have experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira.Strong communication and leadership skills: You must have excellent communication and leadership skills to lead a team of data engineers.Insurance domain knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of insurance data domains including policy, claims, and billing.Programming skills: You must have proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks/Snowflake.Benefits:This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
