Cloud Infrastructure SpecialistThe role of Cloud Infrastructure Specialist is to oversee the planning, execution and maintenance of our company's AWS infrastructure. This involves ensuring that all systems are running efficiently, securely and cost-effectively.Infrastructure Owner: Manage and maintain our AWS-based cloud infrastructure, including architecting and configuring EC2 instances, RDS databases, Route53 DNS, and CloudFront content delivery networks.Automation Expert: Develop and implement automation scripts using Chef and CloudFormation to streamline provisioning and configuration processes.CICD Pipeline Developer: Design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipelines using GitHub Actions integrated with AWS services.Environment Manager: Create and manage environment scripts in Python and PHP for automating environment management across multiple tenants.Database Administrator: Oversee MySQL and MongoDB databases, including automated backups and restores to ensure data integrity and availability.Monitoring and Alerting Specialist: Implement and optimize monitoring and alerting systems using DataDog to provide real-time insights into system performance and health.Compliance Officer: Ensure adherence to SOC II compliance standards, IAM policies, and audit readiness requirements.Team Lead: Collaborate with developers to support multiple environments: Development, QA, Staging, and segmented Production (Beta/Stable/Low Risk).Mentorship: Foster a collaborative work environment by collaborating with developers via a ticket-based workflow and facilitating open communication channels.Infrastructure Migration Lead: Plan and execute seamless infrastructure migrations while establishing scalable backup strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.Why this role mattersThis role plays a critical part in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our company's cloud infrastructure.
