About This Role:

The Consultant is a critical member of Forrester’s Asia Pacific consulting team and works with members of the consulting, sales, and research organizations to manage and deliver highly relevant consulting engagements for clients.


This individual leads the delivery of consulting projects and contributes to the development of our consulting business in Asia Pacific. Success in this client-facing role heavily involves direct work with Forrester clients on their most challenging initiatives.


Job Responsibilities:

This position primarily entails:

  • Leading research-based engagements ranging from custom thought leadership projects to strategic consulting engagements for marketing, technology, and CX decision-makers of global enterprises.
  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of client consulting projects. This includes internal and external stakeholder management, primary research interviews and survey development, financial analysis, Excel modeling, and data analysis and storytelling, applying research frameworks and roadmaps to synthesize insights and develop recommendations for clients.
  • Collaborate with our ecosystem across research, consulting, and sales to deliver research-based consulting services to global enterprises across industries (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, high-tech), helping them drive their strategies and outcomes across technology, customer experience, and marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate and work on internal initiatives that help improve the consulting practice development and quality across the region.


Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an established and well-recognized university; strong academic background; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
  • Possess hands-on research and consulting experience at a top-tier management consulting or market research company, leading key workstreams and project delivery.
  • A detail-oriented, strong team player with superior written and verbal communication skills, innate intellectual curiosity, deep analytical capabilities, and very strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
  • Extensive project management skills; the ability to handle several projects at one time, working with and managing distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated experience or deep interest in one or more of the following domains: high-tech marketing messaging and thought leadership, customer experience strategy, technology strategy, technology infrastructure transformation, and product transformation roadmaps.
  • Track record of delivering superior client experience and a strong aptitude/experience in project quality management.
  • The ability to communicate and present to senior-level decision-makers at our clients’ organizations.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in research; familiarity with statistical methods and strong Excel skills — working knowledge of research/graphical/statistical software/tools (e.g., SPSS, MarketSight, SurveyMonkey).
  • A highly motivated, energetic, and outgoing individual accepting of different challenges and assignments.
