Senior SQL Server Database Administrator - AzureAre you a seasoned database expert looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team.Manage and administer SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.Plan, implement, and oversee Azure SQL Subscription services, focusing on high availability and cost-effectiveness.Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring to maintain peak efficiency.Configure and maintain disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions, including Always On and Geo-Replication.Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL, ensuring seamless transitions.Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and database lifecycle management.Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, proactively addressing database health and capacity concerns.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and standardization.The ideal candidate should possess:At least 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with a strong background in performance tuning and troubleshooting.A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.Proven experience with migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure.Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation.Understanding of licensing and cost management for Azure SQL resources.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
