Job TitleSenior Application Security EngineerDescriptionThe role of the Senior Application Security Engineer is to ensure that Sphera's cloud and on-prem applications are secure. This involves working closely with development teams, product managers, and third-party groups to identify and mitigate potential security risks.Responsibilities Security Reviews Own and perform application security vulnerability management. Release Preparation Support and consult with product and development teams in application security. Training and Development Assist in creation of security training. Assist in development of automated security testing to validate that secure coding best practices are being used.Requirements Familiarity with common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws. Basic development or scripting experience and skills. Experience with OWASP, static/dynamic analysis, and common security tools. A basic understanding of network and web related protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, protocols). Experience working with developers.
