Purpose :
This is a Software Engineer role where you will be working as a core member of an engineering team within the HCM Division of the IRIS Software Group. This division produces market-leading desktop and cloud integrated payroll software for UK SME’s to support their evolving business practice and compliance needs.
As a highly engaged and motivated member of the team, you will deliver complex requirements throughout the entire software development lifecycle ranging from gathering and analyzing requirements to supporting end-users.As part of an agile team, you will design and produce solutions, develop first-class code and associated unit tests for changes to the product, execute integration testing of related components and actively work with testers to improve software quality
There's plenty of scope to develop new skills or refine existing ones. If you're a back-end developer, but wanting to dabble with front-end technologies or vice versa, there's scope for working across both
Responsibilities :
- Develop new features and Products, as well as maintain existing products
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams in problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
- Go the extra mile to take initiatives in improvements on all levels
- inspire and motivate others to act and embrace change
- Work closely with other engineers in the team to ensure prompt completion of sprint goals.
- Work with stakeholders across IRIS Group to agree on technical direction.
- Continually learning and advising on new approaches or solutions.
- Work closely with Dev Operations to ensure high standards of delivery.
