Senior Tax Associate Job DescriptionElevate your career with a challenging and rewarding role as a Senior Tax Associate. Our team is seeking an experienced professional to join us in providing exceptional tax services to our clients.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax and accounting principles, including US GAAP compliance. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state tax returns for general contractors, subcontractors, and developers.Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.Analyze multi-state apportionment and nexus determination for construction entities operating across jurisdictions.Perform percentage-of-completion (POC) and completed-contract methods for accurate tax treatment.Handle depreciation schedules and Section 179/bonus depreciation related to heavy equipment and fixed assets.Assist in preparation of K-1s, tax basis calculations, and reconciliation of book-to-tax differences for construction clients.We are looking for a meticulous, analytical, and proactive individual who is able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in written and verbal English communication, and exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.The role requires the ability to conduct research on construction tax topics, including IRC §460, §199A, and contractor-specific tax credits or deductions. Excellent communication skills are essential for communicating with engagement teams to resolve open items and clarify construction-specific tax positions.Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.CPA, EA, or pursuing is a plus.3-8 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation (construction or real estate clients preferred).We offer a competitive compensation package, including health insurance, a provident fund, and paid holidays.
