Job Summary:Key ResponsibilitiesWe're building a cutting-edge AI-powered recruitment platform with scalable architecture, intuitive interfaces, and seamless integrations. As our Engineering Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team that delivers high-quality products rapidly while maintaining production stability. You will focus on leveraging AI/LLM features to enhance the platform's capabilities.Key AccountabilitiesOversee Project Delivery: Develop and execute comprehensive roadmaps, ensuring timely completion of full-stack features and platforms.Be Hands-on (30–50% coding): Establish technical standards in Java/Python/TypeScript; review pull requests; address complex bugs and design issues.Architecture & System Design: Design microservices, APIs, eventing, data models, caching, and performance optimization for large-scale systems.Frontend Leadership: Guide React/Angular best practices (state management, routing, accessibility, performance); develop design systems and CI for web applications.Backend Excellence: Build robust services in Node/TypeScript and/or Java/Python; secure, versioned REST/GraphQL APIs.Data & Storage: Design database schema and queries for Postgres/MariaDB; optimize indexes, migrations, and reliability.Quality & Reliability: Develop testing strategies (unit/integration/e2e), release health, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and on-call rotations.DevOps Pragmatism: Implement GitHub Actions, Docker, IaC (Terraform), basic Kubernetes; manage cost, scaling, and incident response.Security & Compliance: Ensure tenancy isolation, PII handling, secrets, audits—collaborate with Security as needed.People Leadership: Recruit, coach, and grow a high-trust team; facilitate effective rituals (standups, planning, postmortems).Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product/Design/Recruitment SMEs; translate goals into clear, incremental roadmaps.Applied AI (15–20%): Integrate LLM features (e.g., smart search, summaries, assistive workflows); make build vs. buy decisions; RAG/prompting where appropriate; track quality, latency, and cost.Requirements10+ years in software development; 4+ years leading engineers (TL/EM) in high-velocity product teams.Strong coding skills in Java, Python, and TypeScript/Node; proven system design and API fundamentals.Shipped and operated production full-stack products at scale (web UI + backend services + DB).Frontend experience with React or Angular; mobile (Flutter) is a plus.Experience with SQL databases (Postgres, MariaDB): schema design, migrations, performance tuning.Comfortable with DevOps: GitHub Actions, Docker, basic Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and one major cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).Observability mindset: logs/metrics/traces, dashboards/alerts, release health, and error budgets.Product mindset: measure outcomes (quality, cost, speed), not just outputs; data-driven decisions.Ai Familiarity: LLM basics, prompt patterns, RAG concepts, vector stores, and evaluation at a feature level.Familiarity with AI SDLC tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and test automation.About Us:We offer a dynamic work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and growth opportunities.
