Job Title: Machine Learning EngineerLocation: DLF Cybercity, Porur, Chennai- IndiaExperience: 4- 8 YearsAbout the Job: We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with hands-on experience in deploying ML models on scale using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Fast API. This is a high-visibility Individual Contributor role responsible for enabling real-time and batch model inference to support critical business functions across Credit Risk, Customer Growth, Marketing, and Operations for our Retail Banking customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong ML engineering background, with proven experience in model deployment, monitoring, ML-Ops, and collaborative solution development with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers.Job Responsibilities: 1. The candidate must be able to independently manage his/ her own workstream and effectively collaborate with other regional teams. 2. Own and manage end-to-end ML deployment pipelines, ensuring reliable real-time and batch inference using Fast API and GCP services (Vertex AI, Big Query, Cloud Functions, etc.). 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers) across Chennai, Manila, and Singapore to deliver production-grade ML solutions aligned with business goals. 4. Design and implement robust, reusable, and well-documented code using Python and SQL, leveraging industry-standard ML libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, Spacy, LightGBM, and Cat Boost. 5. Deploy and maintain models across various use cases such as Credit Risk (PD, LGD, Scorecards), Propensity & Response Models, Customer Segmentation Models, Marketing Attribution Models 6. Ensure model governance by adhering to regulatory and compliance standards in financial services environments.Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 1. BS/ MS in Computer Science/ Analytics/ ML/ Mathematics/ Physics/ other Science or Engineering Disciplines. 4-8 years of relevant industry experience preferred. 2. Must have Expert Level proficiency in Python and SQL. certifications in ML, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), or ML-Ops is a plus. 3. Strong experience with core ML libraries and frameworks (Scikit Learn, NumPy, Pandas, Cat boost spacy etc.) 4. Minimum 3 years’ experience in building Credit risk models for other financial institutions/ Retail/ B2C start-ups/ System Integrator companies/ SaaS-based Banking Platforms/Product based companies would be beneficial. 5.
