Manual Tester Job OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.About the RoleJob DescriptionA Manual Tester is responsible for planning and executing manual tests to ensure that our software meets the required standards. This involves developing test plans, executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.Key responsibilities include:Developing and executing detailed test plans and test cases;Performing functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing;Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using standard defect-tracking tools;Collaborating with product managers, developers, and QA team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues;Validating application functionality against business requirements and specifications;Participating in requirement reviews and providing test effort estimates;Ensuring adherence to established QA processes and contributing to continuous improvement;Preparing and maintaining clear testing documentation and reports;Supporting release cycles by conducting thorough pre-release testing;Mentoring junior testers and contributing to QA knowledge sharing;RequirementsTo be successful as a Manual Tester, you should have:A strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies;Proficiency with defect-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail);The ability to write comprehensive test cases and scenarios from requirements;Experience testing web and mobile applications;Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills;The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly;Familiarity with basic database concepts and the ability to validate data using SQL (optional but preferred);A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;Software testing-related certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantage;Strong communication and documentation abilities;At least 3-7 years of hands-on experience in manual testing within product-based or service-based environments.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a collaborative work environment.
