Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 System Design: Architect scalable search systems, including data indexing, retrieval, and ranking algorithms.
2 Implementation: Develop and deploy search solutions using frameworks like Elasticsearch or Apache Solr.
3 Data Management: Manage and preprocess data for indexing, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
4 Optimization: Monitor and optimize search performance, including query speed and relevance.
5 User Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to design intuitive search interfaces and features.
6 Testing: Conduct testing and validation of search algorithms to ensure quality and effectiveness.
7 Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to search functionality and performance.
8 Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for search systems, including technical specifications and user guides.
9 Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and data scientists, to enhance search capabilities.
10 Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends and advancements in search technologies and methodologies.
