About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead Protiviti India’s data protection initiatives. As the DPO, you will ensure compliance with global and local data protection regulations, including GDPR, IT Act, and the upcoming Data Protection Act. You will be the subject matter expert on privacy, leading Protiviti's data protection oversight program and fostering a culture of data privacy across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data protection policies in line with legal regulations.
  • Lead compliance efforts for privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • Conduct regular audits, ensuring adherence to data protection laws and internal controls.
  • Manage data subject requests (DSRs) and liaise with IT for data leakage prevention analysis.
  • Raise awareness across the organization through training and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage vendor/third-party risks and ensure compliance.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, IT, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 12-14 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or information security.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, IT Act, Data Protection Bill of India, and data protection laws across the Middle East.
  • Certified in CIPP, CISM, or CISSP preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
